Three class of 2017 recruits who could be headed to the Pac-12
It’s been a little more than a month since the 2016 recruiting cycle wrapped up on National Signing Day, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start looking ahead to prospects in the class of 2017. As spring drills roll on, SI.com is breaking down three of the top prospects that could be headed to schools in each of the five major conferences. We’ve already looked at the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten and SEC. Today, we’re focusing on the Pac-12. All rankings are from Scout.com.
Joseph Lewis
High school: Augustus F. Hawkins (Los Angeles, Calif.)
Height/weight: 6’2.5’’/200 lbs

Scout.com scouting report: “Lewis is young for his grade but has a college body right now. He has size, down field speed, is a fluid route runner and catches the ball very well. He has excellent body control, is an explosive leaper and is great in jump ball situations. Lewis really elevated his game this spring on the 7v7 circuit dominating against high level competition. As he continues to fill out and add strength, his game will rise to another level.”
Tyjon Lindsey
High school: Centennial (Corona, Calif.)
Height/weight: 5’8’’/165 lbs
Position: Wide receiver
Position rank: 4

Scout.com scouting report: “Lindsey is one of the most explosive players, not just regionally but in the country as well. He's an ideal slot WR who has great hands and has the speed to score from anywhere on the field. He's a dynamic player in the open field and can make 2-3 miss on just about every reception for additional yards. He's more than just a speed guy however, he catches everything, runs clean routes and shows no fear going over the middle. He's also an elite punt/kick returner and should see action on special teams early in his career.”
Tua Tagovailoa
High school: Saint Louis (Honolulu, Hawaii)

Scout.com scouting report: “Tagovailoa is a strong armed lefty with a cannon for an arm. He’s a dual threat quarterback who can escape pressure and make big plays with his legs. He also shows the poise to make that first defender miss, roll out and throws very good on the run. He has a strong body and plays with plenty of toughness. He shows very nice tough on the deeper throws and projects as a high major QB at the next level.”
