UConn’s Breanna Stewart won her third straight Associated Press player of the year award on Saturday.

Stewart averaged 19.3 points and 8.7 rebounds over 35 games to lead UConn to a 36–0 record and the Women’s Final Four. She shot 58.3 percent from the field and also averaged 3.5 blocks, four assists and 1.9 steals per game.

The 6'4" senior forward was a unanimous choice for the award, voted on by a 32-member national media panel.

UConn head coach GenoAuriemma was also named AP coach of the year, his eighth time receiving the honor. The Huskies have won 73 straight games and are two wins away from their 11th national title under Auriemma.
