Duke senior forward Amile Jefferson will return to the court with the Blue Devils for the 2016–17 season after being granted a medical redshirt waiver by the ACC, the school announced Friday.
Duke sought the waiver for Jefferson after he broke his foot in practice last December. He played just nine games during the 2015–16 season, averaging 11.4 points, 1.4 assists and 10.3 rebounds per game.
He has averaged 6.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0.8 assists over his four years at Duke.
