Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Penn State Lead College Football Playoff Rankings

The first College Football Playoff rankings of 2019 were released on Tuesday, with teams from the Big Ten and SEC comprising the top four. 

Ohio State came in at No. 1 in the CFP rankings, followed by LSU, Alabama and Penn State to round out the top four. Alabama is slated to make its sixth Playoff appearance in 2019, while Ohio State is on pace for its second. LSU and Penn State have never reached the College Football Playoff. 

Three other unbeaten teams made the CFP rankings on Tuesday. No. 17 Minnesota will host the Nittany Lions on Saturday, while No. 5 Clemson faces NC State. No. 12 Baylor will play TCU as the Bears look to reach 9–0.
