Deion Sanders Shared Great Story About Shilo Sanders Breaking Rule and Calling Him Dad During Colorado Game

In this story:
Deion Sanders has two jobs on the Colorado sideline: Coach and Dad. Balancing that can be tricky, but the Buffaloes head man shared a hilarious story about handling both tasks at once this season in an interview on Inside the NFL.
Sanders’ story comes from the team’s matchup with Colorado State in Week 3. Heading into overtime, his son Shilo Sanders, a safety for the Buffaloes, asked Deion Sanders whether they’d be on defense or offense first. In doing so, Shilo Sanders broke a rule Deion had set for his two sons: On the sidelines, Shilo and Shedeur Sanders are supposed to call Deion Sanders “Coach” rather than “Dad.”
“Shilo walked by me and instead of saying “Coach”... he said ‘Dad, [is] the defense going out on the field first?’ and I said ‘Boy, y’all ain’t stopped nobody all day! I’m putting your brother out there, because I know what he’s [going to] do,” Deion Sanders recalls.
Deion Sanders was right: Shedeur Sanders quickly took the Buffaloes down the field for a touchdown in what was eventually a 43–35 2OT victory for Colorado.
