USC’s Caleb Williams Goes Viral for His Reaction to Loss Against Utah

Caleb Williams was every USC fan on Saturday night.

After his team’s heartbreaking loss to Utah, the Heisman-winning quarterback went viral for his reaction while sitting on the team’s bench. Looking completely broken, Williams was being consoled by teammates and seemed utterly disgusted by what just transpired.

The No. 18 Trojans had lost their last two matchups against the No. 14 Utes but appeared to break the losing streak late in the fourth quarter when Williams ran for his lone touchdown of the night to take a one-point lead with just 1:46 remaining in the game.

USC failed the two-point conversion, though, and Utah marched down the field to score on a walk-off field goal to win 34–32. Williams finished the game with 256 passing yards and 27 rushing yards.

Just two weeks ago the Trojans were firmly in the running for a College Football Playoff appearance but this marks their second loss in a row—effectively ending any chance of competing for a national championship.

USC (6–2) will look to bounce back against Cal (3–4) on Saturday with kick off scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
