Latest College Football Playoff Rankings: Top Four Spots Remain Unchanged

The latest College Football Playoff rankings for the 2023 season were released on Tuesday, with No. 1 Ohio State retaining the top overall spot.

If the postseason commenced today, No. 2 Georgia would play against No. 3 Michigan in one semifinal game, while No. 1 Ohio State would take on No. 4 Florida State in the other playoff game.

This year's semifinals will be take place at the Orange Bowl in Miami Gardens, Florida and Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on Jan. 1.

The winners of each semifinal matchup would face off in the championship game at NRG Stadium in Houston on Jan. 8.

Washington remained No. 5 in the rankings despite beating USC 52-42 last week. The Huskies will have to navigate a tough road in order to gain a top-four ranking due to difficult upcoming matchups against No. 12 Oregon State and No. 18 Utah State.

In addition, other future games among several of the top teams will likely change the playoff landscape over the next month. One showdown that will affect the top four will take place on Nov. 25 when top-ranked Ohio State and No. 3 Michigan renew their Big Ten rivalry.
