Marvin Harrison Jr. Answers If He’d Return to Ohio State, Spurn NFL Draft
Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has accomplished basically everything he could achieve individually with the Buckeyes.
Over three collegiate seasons, Harrison registered 155 catches for 2,613 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns. He was named an All-American in 2022 and the 2023 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.
Entry into the 2024 NFL draft seems likely for the Heisman Trophy finalist. However, he suggested Friday he hadn't completely closed the door on a return to Ohio State.
"It's a possibility," Harrison told reporters Friday on whether he would come back for another season in Columbus, Ohio.
For all his individual accolades, several team achievements have remained out of reach for Harrison's Buckeyes. Harrison hasn't played in a win over rival Michigan, and he suffered an injury in the third quarter of the 2022 Peach Bowl against Georgia—preventing him from closing out the only College Football Playoff game Ohio State has played in his career.
"I don't wanna make the decision yet. There's a lot of factors that go into it," Harrison said. "I just need to have a lot of thought behind it and talk to my family and see what's best for them."
Harrison's father, Marvin Harrison, was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016 after a distinguished 13-year NFL career with the Colts.
The Buckeyes are scheduled to play Missouri in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 29.
