Rice is one of the most physically imposing guards in the country, regardless of class.

It’s the momentum shift, the power in the aftermath, the eye-widening reaction of the crowd just before they let out a collective “ooh,” it’s art, makes sense that it’s referred to as a poster.

Dunking over the top of an opposing player is, arguably, the top highlight in sports, but certainly the hardwood.

Each week SI All American will highlight that feat by scouring the country to find the top poster and crown that player with our Poster of the Week award.

This week, Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) shooting guard MJ Rice takes home the hardware.

In a recent game at the St. James NIBC Invitational, Rice took the ball coast-to-coast and rose up, over and through 6-foot-9 iSchool (Texas) forward Matt Reed for the tough one hander.

Rice engaged in a brief stare down of Reed, who was subsequently sent barreling to the hardwood, before jogging back on defense.

Rice finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds and five assists in the win.

What Makes Rice Special: Rice is 6-foot-5, 220-pound, physically imposing guard with a special blend of brute strength, finesse and three-level scoring ability. Rice legitimately guards all five positions and is an underrated playmaker who creates easy scoring opportunities for his teammates.
