Three Names Tennessee Fans Should See More of Saturday vs East Tennessee State

In this story:
The college football season has quickly approached us, fans of the pigskin-based game, and the Vols have gotten started very early.
The Tennessee Volunteers walked away with what would be a 45 to 26 victory versus the Syracuse Orange and they're very first game of the season as they were able to defeat the orange and what was expected to be a trap game for the Tennessee Volunteers, however that was not the case as the Tennessee Volunteers walked away with one of the most balanced performances on the offensive side this week, as well as a solid defensive effort with the majority of the team being banged up.
Here are three names to know for the Tennessee Volunteers, as they enter their first home game of the season.
Dylan Lewis - Cornerback

Lewis is a guy that you didn't really see on Saturday, as he has all the talent in the world. However, his teammate was the player who picked up all the Hype from Milton High School, as Tyler Redmond was the star to know in the freshman class. What fans can soon realize is the fact that Lewis, what fans can soon know is the talented cornerback from Milton, was teammates with Redmond, who is very talented similar to him as they were both very dominant in the Milton defense. It is anticipated that Tennessee could easily run up to score here, so there will be more opportunities for guys like Lewis, which will be huge for any developmental growth that he looks to have this season.
Jake Merklinger - Quarterback

The second-year Tennessee quarterback was a huge headline during the off-season as he was competing for the starting quarterback job following Nico Iamaleava's transfer however, he would lose the job to Joey Aguilar, who just had an electric appearance and it's very first game with the Tennessee Volunteers. Expect to see Jake Merklinger in this offense for quite some time come Saturday, especially if the ball offense continues to dominate in the ways that they did against Syracuse, as the defense they are playing isn't nearly as talented on paper as the Syracuse defense that they just wrapped up against.
Jordan Ross - EDGE

The former five-star, defensive lineman and EDGE rusher had multiple valuable reps during the Syracuse game as this front line is very deep for the Tennessee volunteers however, I anticipate that he will see the field very quickly come Saturday as he is looking to up his reps and likely will in this game as fans will be able to see what the five star is truly capable of.
