The AP College football poll has been released and the Clemson Tigers remain in the No. 1 spot but not by much. Clemson’s starting Quarterback Trevor Lawerence was out with COVID-19 as the Tigers faced Boston College on Saturday. They were still able to pull off a 34-28 win but only received 33 first-place votes, down 19 from last week. The star quarterback and projected number one overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft will also not be available for Clemson's matchup this Saturday against the 4th ranked Fighting Irish in South Bend

After No 2 Alabama shut out Mississippi State 41-0 this past weekend, the Crimson Tide received 29 1st place votes. AP rankings remained the same for the rest of the top 5 with Ohio State at No. 3, Notre Dame at 4, and Georgia in the Number 5 spot.
