Highlights from the Island House Invitational Triathlon in Nassau, Bahamas

The Island House Invitational Triathlon brought it's unique format—a three-day non-drafting triathlon stage race—to the Bahamas last weekend, as American Gwen Jorgensen took home the women's title and South Africa's Richard Murray took the men's trophy. The race brought pitted all-stars from all of triathlon’s distances—from ITU to Ironman—head-to-head in an elimination format race. Forty athletes competed over the first two days of the event, with only 10 men and 10 women advancing to the final day of racing on the private island of Highbourne Cay. Olympic champion Jorgensen overcame a bike deficit on the final day to beat Flora Duffy, while Murray beat American Cameron Dye to take home the title. Here are the best highlights from the season-ending Island House Invitational Triathlon.
