Bridging Sports and Sounds at Sports Illustrated Stadium

Sports Illustrated

Not every music fan is also a sports fan, but most sports fans are more than happy to crank up the volume on their favorite tunes. The truth is, music and sports have been connected for at least as long as stadiums and arenas have existed. Showcases for elite performance, whether athletic skills or musical talent, are just about the only events that have demonstrated the ability to bring together tens of thousands of wildly cheering fans, night after night.

It should come as no surprise that Sports Illustrated, the namesake behind Sports Illustrated Stadium, just minutes from Manhattan, is using its home venue as a platform for great artists as well as great athletes. We're thrilled to announce the debut of the Sports Illustrated Stadium Concert Series, kicking off Oct. 10, with a show from country music superstar Jason Aldean.

Aldean, of course, is one of the giants of contemporary country, named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and a three-time honoree as ACM's Entertainer of the Year.  Better yet, Jason is bringing some friends to the stage: Warner Records' Warren Zeiders will be on hand, contributing his stripped-down outlaw vibe to the evening, as will rising stars Chase McDaniel and Lauren Gottshall. Pioneering country music DJ/remixer Dee Jay Silver rounds out the lineup, giving every flavor of country music fan a reason to stomp their feet and shout for encores.

And if you haven't been out to Sports Illustrated Stadium yet, this is your chance to experience a next-level stadium experience featuring fan activations, including the opportunity to create a personalized Sports Illustrated Fan Cover to celebrate the night. Likewise, the show will feature “Faces in the Crowd,” a live photo-capture experience that transforms real-time fan reactions into personalized SI Fan Covers and commemorative Concert Series tickets. Fans looking for the ultimate stadium adventure will want to snap up its unique hospitality tickets, including the VIP Pit with its premium open bar and food at Crossbar, access to the Audi Club (an all-inclusive food, soft drinks, and cash bar) for seats in sections 108/111 (first eight rows) and access to Club SI (buffet and open bar) for sections 109/110.  A selection of premium suites is also on the menu. Availability of hospitality tickets and suites is limited, and with the show just over a month away, VIPs are encouraged to act quickly. For suite sales, contact suites@newyorkredbulls.com or call (973) 776-8958. For hospitality packages, call (877) 727-6223. General admission ticket are available online at ticketmaster.com and sitickets.com.

You'll find Sports Illustrated Stadium on Cape May Street in Harrison, N.J., just across the Passaic River from Newark Penn Station, and a short walk from the PATH train at Harrison Station. Like we said, it's only minutes from Manhattan, but on Oct. 10, everything west of the Hudson counts as “country.”
