Who's Better At Dressing Like the Sun in Local TV Ads: Haloti Ngata Or Ryan Kerrigan?

Thursday August 1st, 2013

Putting athletes into local TV commercials usually results in stiff, unintentionally amusing gems—this Sullivan Tire ad featuring Dustin Pedroia and Jim Rice, for example, belongs in the National Film Registry. Such is not the case for a pair of recent spots by Maryland-based home improvement outfit Thompson Creek Window Company, which enlisted Ryan Kerrigan of the Redskins, Haloti Ngata of the Ravens, and the ghost of Lee Strasberg to produce a series of 30-second commercials that succeed in their quest to be intentionally funny and memorable.

Considering it's a pair of large NFL players screaming and dancing while dressed as the sun, possibly too memorable.
