Comedy Central Orders Animated High School Basketball Pilot
Comedy Central has greenlit a new animated pilot from The Simpsons'Brad Ableson about "a trio of high school basketball players who are legends in their own minds – and really, nowhere else." The pilot, called Legends, will be produced by Bento Box Entertainment (Bob's Burgers, Brickleberry). Ableson created Legends with Bento Box's Head of Creative Development and Original Programming, Mike Clements and writer Michael Starburry (The Inevitable Defeat Of Mister And Pete).
They've also teamed up with sports producers Quinn Hawking (ESPN, Fox Sports, NFL Network) and Josiah Johnson (NFL Network, Jim Rome on Showtime), who are voicing two of the main characters and "bringing their experience as former UCLA basketball benchwarmers to the project."
