Chilean World Cup player gets his heartbreaking shot off the post tattooed on his back

One of the most memorable moments of the 2014 World Cup so far was Chilean player Mauricio Pinilla's kick hitting the crossbar in the final seconds of extra time in a failed attempt to defeat host country, Brazil.

The incident would rank among the most heartbreaking for any soccer player, but Pinilla decided to embrace the near miss by having the moment inked onto his back. As if that were not both physically and mentally painful enough, Pinilla added the caption "One centimeter from glory."

While this does seem like a pretty masochistic move by the striker, it is not like he was going to forget the shot any time soon, so he might as well use it as motivation.
