Vikings Fumbling The Peterson Situation?

The Vikings announced on Monday that Adrian Peterson -- who didn't play Sunday after being indicted on a felony charge of injury to a child -- would be reinstated and return to practice this week, meaning we'll likely see him in action for Week 3. It seems like the decision has ticked off a lot of already-angry NFL fans and probably came as disappointing news for ESPN's Hannah Storm and Cris Carter, who delivered emotional speeches on the subject of domestic violence during broadcasts over the weekend. Maybe Peterson should take a page out of this fan's playbook and stick the phone number for the National Child Abuse Hotline on the back of his jersey.

Tigers Have Won The World Series Of Hazing

My favorite part of September call-ups in baseball every year is the hilarious rookie hazing that traditionally comes with it. The Detroit Tigers won hazing this season (and maybe forever) by making their rookies dress up as Lingerie Football players and face each other in a game of two-hand touch. Luckily, their veteran teammates made sure to document it for us.

Zombie Al Capone coming to the NHL

Philadelphia Flyers goalie Steve Mason has a history of incorporating zombies into his equipment, and his new mask for the upcoming season features undead versions of famous Eastern State Penitentiary inmates, including notorious gangster Al Capone.

Woj Sounds Off On FIBA

In case you missed it, Team USA won the FIBA World Cup after defeating Serbia in the gold medal game over the weekend. Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski used the opportunity to absolutely shred USA Basketball in his latest column, which says the program is basically one big recruiting tool for Mike Krzyzewski and Jim Boeheim.
