Georgia students have put up a memorial shrine for their recently suspended star running back Todd Gurley.

The fans have put candles, team memorabilia and a skull outside Sanford Stadium, along with a sign that reads "Free Gurl3y."

Gurley was considered a front-runner for this year's Heisman trophy. In five games with the Bulldogs this season he scored eight rushing touchdowns and averaged 8.2 yards per carry.

• LeBron James named most valuable sports brand

The running back is expected to miss two to three games while the allegation that he accepted cash for autographs is investigated.
