High school football playoff game has one of a kind ending

The Spanish Fork Dons were less than four seconds from earning a spot in the Utah Class 4A playoffs with a 14-11 victory over the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles when quarterback Jason Money forgot the rules of football. After letting time expire Money fails to remember that the game goes on until the final whistle, so he just stops moving, allowing the Golden Eagles to strip the ball and run in for a 16-11 victory.

The Spanish Fork Dons were within a second of earning a spot in the Utah Class 4A playoffs with a 14-11 victory over the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles when quarterback Jason Money forgot the rules of football (46:20 mark in the video).

After running around in his backfield to let time expire, Money fails to remember that the game goes on until the final whistle, so he just stops moving when the clock shows 00:00, but the Golden Eagles went on to strip the ball and run into the end zone for a 16-11 victory.

Maple Mountain will get to continue its season despite a 4-7 record, while Spanish Fork will likely spend its offseason focusing on how to properly kneel out the final seconds on a clock.
