Mavericks beat 76ers so bad fans started reading newspaper

Friday November 14th, 2014

The Philadelphia 76ers have yet to win a game this season, with their biggest loss yet coming on Thursday night in Dallas, where the Mavericks won by a 53-point margin, driving some fans to reach for their newspapers to distract them from the carnage.

The Mavericks set a team record for largest margin of victory in the 123-70 beatdown, but it was just business as usual for the Sixers, who have been beaten by 50 points or more an NBA-record five times, according to ESPN Stats and Information.

Maybe all tickets for games involving the 76ers should encourage attendees to bring some reading material in case the game gets out of hand.
