Hurricanes defenseman Michal Jordan was playing in just his third game this season and his eighth NHL game ever, against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, so the Nashville broadcast team decided it was time to compare him to the greatest basketball player of all time.

The 24-year old Czechoslovakian is likely use to the comparisons by now, but he still took time to sarcastically thank the Predators on Twitter after the game.

The Hurricanes' Jordan can take some solace in that he has plenty of time to catch up to his basketball counterpart.
