Baseball's winter meetings see tons of names thrown around for potential trades, sometimes even the types of players generally considered untouchable.

One such player is reigning American League MVP Mike Trout, and Angels general manager Jerry Dipoto shockingly said Wednesday that he'd listen to trade offers for the young superstar.

Widely considered the best player in the game right now and signed to a very reasonable six-year, $144.5 million contract, you can understand why other teams would call the Angels inquiring about Trout's availability. You can also understand why Dipoto would say "no" no matter what the other team is offering.

In fact, Trout is such a ridiculous value right now that opposing teams aren't even wasting their time making such a call. If they had Trout, the last thing in the world they would want to do is trade him, so surely they know Dipoto is thinking the same way.

Pigs would fly before the Angels trade Trout in the foreseeable future. If you see a porker that has started to sprout wings, only then would it be time to pick up the phone and call Dipoto.
