Jets owner favorites tweet calling for GM John Idzik's firing by accident

The New York Jets have had a very bad season, and it has been widely speculated that they will fire coach Rex Ryan and possibly general manager John Idzik, with fans being particularly vocal calling for Idzik's dismissal.

The New York Jets have had a very bad season, and it has been widely speculated that they will fire coach Rex Ryan and possibly general manager John Idzik.

Last night, the fans calling for Idzik's dismissal got a brief glimmer of hope that the second-year general manager was on his way out after the 2014 season when owner Woody Johnson favorited this tweet.

Unfortunately for the #FireIdzik movement, Johnson confirmed that it was an accidental favoriting.

Finding out your are fired because of a tweet your boss favorited would be an extremely modern and extremely sad way to lose your job.
