Suns strength coach dresses like Buddy the Elf for game

The Phoenix Suns had some help from Santa's most cheerful helper on Tuesday night when their strength coach Mike Elliot donned a sweater that made him look like Will Ferrell's beloved "Buddy" from Elf.

The Phoenix Suns had some help from Santa's most cheerful helper on Tuesday night when strength coach Mike Elliot donned a sweater that made him look like Will Ferrell's beloved "Buddy" from Elf.

Elliot was not alone in his choice of festive sweater as the rest of the Phoenix training crew also donned some interesting team holiday gear.

The team responded well to the holiday cheer as it defeated the Mavericks 124-115. Perhaps it was their pregame meal of spaghetti with maple syrup.
