Empire State Building lit with NBA team colors on All-Star Friday

The iconic building will be lit with each of the NBA's 30 teams' colors during All-Star Friday night.

The celebrities and NBA players who take the court in New York's Barclay's Center on Friday night may be the biggest stars in the city, but none of them will be the tallest.

That honor will go to the 1,454-foot tall Empire State Building, which on Friday night will rotate of the colors of its upper floors to display each of the NBA's 30 teams' colors.

If nothing else, the lights blinking out over the darkened city will provide a serene alternative to the frenetic bricklaying sure to take place during the All-Star Celebrity Game.

The display is only scheduled for Friday night during the celebrity game and the NBA Rising Stars Challenge.
