Memphis Redbirds baseball fans are angry the team has decided to stop selling nachos from The Rendezvous, a local rib joint.
The citizens of Memphis have suffered a great injustice. The Memphis Redbirds, the Cardinals' Triple A affiliate, will no longer sell the BBQ nachos from The Rendezvous, a local rib joint.
Instead, the team has been serving its own BBQ nachos, which have not been met with good reviews.
The controversy is significant enough to warrant a segment on the local news.
"It seems like the Redbirds want to do their food in house and do their BBQ in-house," Rendezvous co-owner John Vergos told Local 24 News. "Of course, we wish them the best."
One look at the famous nachos makes it pretty clear why people are so upset.
The good news for Memphians who disregard their cardiovascular health is the nachos are still available at the FedEx Forum, so let's hope the Grizzlies make a long playoff run.
