Just because he's the best baseball player in the world, Angels outfielder Mike Trout thinks he can squeeze inside information out of NFL reporters.

With rumors that Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota could be reunited with Chip Kelly, his college coach, in Philadelphia, Trout sent ESPN reporter Adam Schefter a direct message on Twitter asking what the odds were of the Eagles landing the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.

Trout is from South Jersey and his Eagles fandom is no secret. He used Twitter last month to try and convince DeMarco Murray to come to Philly.

He's barking up the wrong tree trying to get Schefter to spoil the draft, though. ESPN reporters won't be tweeting draft picks until they're announced.

But what did Schefter say?
