A middle school janitor got the surprise of his life when a painting he did of Miami Marlins star Giancarlo Stanton sold for $25,000 at a charity auction.

Joseph Gormley, who MLB.com writes took up painting after his wife bought him a paint set last Christmas, was overwhelmed when he learned the price for which an anonymous person had bought the art.

Gormley has a goal of using his art to donate $1 million dollars to charity, and based on both this auction and the quality of his Stanton painting he seems well on his way. And if the painting looks familiar to you, it's because it's of Stanton's Sports Illustrated cover in February.

You can see the painting and Gormley's reaction in the below MLB.com video.
