John Oliver addresses ex-FIFA official Jack Warner on Trinidad television
Wednesday June 10th, 2015

"Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver addressed former FIFA official Jack Warner via a paid television advertisement in which he pleaded with Warner to "release everything."

The title of Oliver's special, "The Mittens of Disapproval Are On," is a reference to Warner's political TV special aired on Trinidad's TV6 earlier this month entitled, "The Gloves Are Off," in which he leveled his own claims against FIFA.

Oliver's message to Warner hinted at Warner's supposed trove of information related to FIFA's wrongdoing.

Warner has alleged that FIFA money influenced the 2010 Trinidad & Tobago national election.

"The point is, Mr. Warner, do not [unclear] the entire planet by promising spectacular FIFA regulations and not delivering. I am begging you, release everything, because, here's my argument: why the hell not? It's not like you're already potentially in a lot of trouble. Seriously, I've been looking through the indictment, and good luck with that."

Watch John Oliver celebrate Sepp Blatter's resignation

A U.S. indictment against 14 FIFA officials, which includes several other accusations, accuses Warner of accepting a $10 million bribe in exchange for steering the necessary votes needed for South Africa to host the 2010 World Cup.
