Kris Bryant’s Home Run Derby cleats and gloves will terrify the competition

A cub is a baby bear, but Chicago slugger Kris Bryant needing something a little more intimidating for Monday’s Home Run Derby.
Bryant will be facing off against future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols in the first round of the new derby format, and he’ll do it wearing custom gear.
Bryant’s batting gloves, cleats and socks are all covered with the face of a growling, possibly rabid bear. Its eyes are pure terror. And yet, it’s somehow less terrifying than Clark the Cub, Chicago’s official mascot (who does not wear pants).
