Reds fan runs onto field, gets away over centerfield wall

A fan at Wednesday night's Cubs–Reds game decided he wanted to get a closer look at the action, so he jumped the fence and ran out onto the field.

While that alone is not terribly impressive, what is amazing is that Justin Buchanan was able to escape security and get over the outfield fence and out of the stadium.

Buchanan captured the entire run with a very shaky video selfie, and spoke with Indianapolis's ABC 6 on Thursday about his epic sprint, saying he had planned the escapade before he even arrived at the game.

"I actually googled on the way to the game, consequences of getting caught," Buchanan admits.

The teenager says he had a brief conversation with centerfielder Billy Hamilton during the run, although the Reds player’s response to him was “not nice.”
