Mark Cuban stars as POTUS in Sharknado 3
Yes, the Sharknado series is insane, preposterous and—depending on your mindset—incredible or wildly pathetic.
And yes, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban’s take on the presidency during Wednesday night’s premiere of Sharknado 3 was... remarkable.
For the uninitiated, the Sharknado series is a trio of made-for-TV movies produced by Syfy. As the series’ Wikipedia page puts it, the essence of each movie boils down to “a waterspout that lifts sharks out of the ocean and deposits them in Los Angeles.”* The first one aired in 2013, followed by Sharknado 2: The Second One in 2014 and Wednesday night’s Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
*The same thing happened in Sharkando 2: The Second One, but in New York.
Cuban made his first appearance four minutes into Sharknado 3, thanking the aptly named hero of the series, Fin Shepard, for his actions in... well we’re not really sure. We were too distracted by the notion of Mark Cuban as U.S. president. And Ann Coulter as vice president.

Cuban, who coincidentally is also a panel member on ABC’s aspiring entrepreneur reality series Shark Tank, later ended up with a shotgun in his hands, exclaiming, “Nobody attacks my house!” as he exits an elevator while cocking said shotgun.
Presumably, that was because of the numerous shark attacks. Again, this plot was just a little bit convoluted.
Update: Retired NFL receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson—working for NASA—and NASCAR drive Brad Keselowski also both made appearances.
Update 2: Some Washington Redskins also got in on the fun.
