Former Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson got engaged to her boyfriend on Friday at Wrigley Field before a game between the Chicago Cubs and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Shawn Johnson received countless medals during her career as a gymnast. But on Friday, she received her first ring.
The former Olympic star became engaged to her boyfriend at Wrigley Field before a game between the Chicago Cubs and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Johnson won a gold medal and three silver medals as a member of the U.S. gymnastics team at the 2008 Summer Olympics, held in Beijing.
Andrew East, a former long snapper at Vanderbilt University who signed a free agent contract with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs in May, dropped to one knee just off to the side of home plate.
