Georgetown men's soccer to hold 'Dad Bod Day'

Georgetown men's soccer is hosting a "Dad Bod Day" in September.

Are you a dad? Then you're in luck, as you can get in free to the Sept. 7 Georgetown-UCLA men's soccer game. Why? Because it's “Dad Bod Day.”

No need to worry if you're not part of the population blessed with a “Dad Bod,” as all dads will be welcomed free of charge. The night will include a spare tire relay race, a “corny Dad joke contest” and, of course, a halftime “Dad Bod dance-off.”

If you're wondering what the heck a “Dad Bod” is, you might find this piece by a Clemson student who coined the term helpful.

The catch to all of this is that Georgetown hopes the promotion actually helps end the fascination with the term.

“I thought, why not have a father appreciation day and help eliminate this “Dad Bod’ phenomenon?” Georgetown director of marketing Chris Grosse told the Washington Post.
