For the uninitiated, League of Legends (also known as “League” or “LoL”) is the world’s most popular PC video game. It is a multiplayer online battle arena game, where the goal is to destroy the enemy team’s base.

The League of Legends Championship Series (or LCS) is largest professional LoL competition. There are two seasons (summer and spring) and two divisions (North America and Europe). Each division features 10 teams. After a double round robin regular season, the top six teams qualify for the playoffs.
