Clemson hosting fan pizza party, even if it loses ACC Championship

Dabo Swinney promised to hold a pizza party for Clemson fans if his team made it into this year’s College Football Playoff, but now the school has decided to reward the Tigers’ supporters no matter how the season ends, with a Death Valley pizza party on Sunday.

Dabo Swinney promised to hold a pizza party for Clemson fans if his team made it into this year’s College Football Playoff, but now the school has decided to reward the Tigers’ supporters no matter how the season ends.

Clemson has held the top spot in the CFP rankings since they debuted in Week 9 of the season, but the team still needs to defeat North Carolina in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday to assure its spot in the postseason tournament. Regardless of the outcome, Swinney says there will be a party for the 12–0 team, according to TigerNet.com.

"That's gonna happen and this thing kinda took a life of its own somehow but its kinda hard to plan for a pizza party if you do not know the outcome. You can't just plan a pizza party if you win the game cause you are not going to know until midnight or one in the morning. That's a lot of dough. As the season has planned out, the important thing, regardless if we win or not the game Saturday night, this team deserves to be celebrated. It really does.”
