Philadelphia restaurant says goodbye to Chip Kelly with a sandwich

Wednesday January 6th, 2016

Chip Kelly spent three seasons in Philadelphia that were filled with ups and down and ended with a surprising firing with one week left to go in the 2015 season.

While fans may not have been thrilled with the results of his tenure as head coach, one chef/Eagles fan is sending the coach off with a special sandwich inspired by his time in the City of Brotherly Love.

The sandwich has Oregon blackberry jam in a nod to his time as the Ducks head coach. The $1.60 price tag is based on the chef's hopes for a 16–0 2016 campaign and the meal is purportedly three bites big, for Kelly’s three years as coach.
