Bengals WR Mohamed Sanu proposed to his girlfriend during a soccer game

Bengals receiver Mohamed Sanu decided the best place to propose to his girlfriend was in the stands at Wembley Stadium during Sunday’s League Cup final between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Proposing to your girlfriend on a trip to London isn’t the most original idea, but doing it in the in the stands at Wembley Stadium in the middle of a soccer game is certainly unique. 

Bengals receiver Mohamed Sanu decided the best time to pop the question was during Sunday’s League Cup final between Liverpool and Manchester City. 

According to his fiancee Lauren, Sanu got down on his knee right after Philippe Coutinho’s 83rd-minute goal that leveled the score at 1. The timing definitely caught her by surprise.

Manchester City went on to win on penalties, but the result of the game was probably only in the back of their minds.
