Marlins fan makes backhanded grab while holding a child

Miami Marlins fan makes impressive backhanded catch while holding a child.

On Sunday, the Marlins celebrated Mother’s Day with special pink accented uniforms and a "MOM" chalk design on the back of the pitcher’s mound, but it was a dad who stole the show in the stands with one of the finest foul ball catches in a while.

Marcell Ozuna was at the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning and he fouled off a pitch from Aaron Nola into the stands, where the fan backhanded the souvenir all while holding on to his son in the other hand.

The impressive defensive play from the Miami fan was not enough to push the Marlins on to victory against the Phillies though, with the home team losing 6–5 to their NL East rivals.
