NFL weighs in on whether kid in dog video made a catch

Was this backyard catch actually a catch? Dean Blandino weighs in.

A video from 2012 of a kid making a backyard football catch before being drilled by his dog has resurfaced thanks to Reddit.

NFL senior vice president of officiating Dean Blandino took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to give the official ruling on the catch.

“Catch & fumble. Control, 2 feet, & turns up field before losing ball. Dog with legal hit and clear recovery,” Blandino wrote.
