Jake Paul, Nate Diaz Announce Boxing Match Set For August

The fight will be eight rounds and be held at 185 pounds.

Former UFC star Nate Diaz is back and his next move will be a boxing match against YouTube star turned professional fighter, Jake Paul.

The fight, which was announced Wednesday afternoon by Most Valuable Promotions and Real Fight Inc., will take place Saturday, Aug. 5 at American Airlines Arena in Dallas.

The eight-round fight will be held at 185 pounds with 10-ounce gloves. It will be aired globally on DAZN and be available for pay-per-view on all cable and satellite providers.

Diaz, who walked away from the octagon after finishing his UFC contract with a win over Tony Ferguson last September, has long wanted to make the move over to professional boxing. This showdown with Paul has been hinted at for a while, with both parties clashing at recent events.

Now the two will meet in the ring this summer in Dallas and the lead-up to the event will surely have some fireworks.
