Shaq, Charles Barkley Got Into Such a Heated Argument About Joe Mazzulla and a Failed Celtics Play
The Celtics are on the brink of elimination from the NBA playoffs after getting blown at home by the 76ers in a pivotal Game 5 that was never really close.
Before the game, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal got into a heated argument about the final play of Game 4 that saw Boston run out of time before getting off what would have been a game-winning shot at the end of overtime.
Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla took a lot of heat for not calling a timeout in the final seconds and later admitted that he made the wrong decision.
That decision set Barkley and Shaq off.
Mazzulla is in his first year as a head coach in the NBA, and it appears he’s been out-coached by Doc Rivers in this series. The criticisms will likely only escalate if Boston can’t find a way to come back and beat the Sixers in seven games.
