Jets Showed Off Their Sweet New Throwback Uniforms and NFL Fans Loved them

Jets fans woke up Monday morning very happy after the team debuted photos of their new “Legacy White” uniforms to be worn twice during the 2023 season.

The throwback uniforms pay homage to the 1979–89 teams that wore white jerseys with two stripes, white pants with one stripe and the iconic green Jets helmets. This era was known as the “Sack Exchange” in the team's history.

Fans will first see the throwback uniforms in Week 1 against the Bills, then again when the Jets face the Chiefs in Week 4. Both home games will include other legacy details, including themed end zones.

This means when Aaron Rodgers takes the field at MetLife Stadium for the first time playing as the starting quarterback for the Jets, he will be sporting the “Legacy White” uniforms. Rodgers was included in the images of a few Jets stars sporting the look.

The NFL world was excited to see the addition of the “Legacy White” uniforms to the Jets rotation this season, especially since many fans begged for the uniforms to return. Here are some of the best social media reactions from Monday, starting with Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner showing he’s a fan of the uniforms.
