Pete Carroll Showed Off His Arm While Subbing in at QB at Seahawks Practice

The old proverb that “age is just a number” rang true for Seahawks coach Pete Carroll recently.

On Thursday, Seattle posted a sensational montage video of 71-year-old displaying the youthfulness NFL fans often witness from the energetic coach on the sidelines on Sundays. 

The oldest head coach in the NFL was captured on video scrambling and completing passes on the run from inside the red zone.

The video, which also featured some heavily-edited passes that had clearly not been thrown by Carroll, did show the Super Bowl XLVIII champion exhibiting solid arm strength and some respectable accuracy on deep passes to the club’s star wideout trio of DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett.

While many fans on social media poked fun at Carroll potentially stealing quarterback Geno Smith’s starting job, he should be commended for being able to take part in practice when many NFL head coaches would not be ready to jump in between the white lines with their team’s players.
