Cristiano Ronaldo Leads Al Nassr To Arab Club Champions Cup Semi-Finals After Scoring His Third Goal Of The Season

Cristiano Ronaldo is potentially just two wins away from lifting his first trophy as Al Nassr captain.

Ronaldo scored his third goal of the season to set Al Nassr on their way to a 3-1 victory over Moroccan outfit Raja Club Athletic in the quarter-finals of the Arab Club Champions Cup on Sunday.

The 38-year-old smashed home emphatically with his left foot from 17 yards to give Al Nassr the lead in the 19th minute.

Sultan Al-Ghannam then doubled the Saudi side's advantage 10 minutes later with a fine low finish after determinedly chasing down a long ball.

It was soon 3-0 when Ivory Coast international Seko Fofana scored his first goal for Al Nassr.

Fofana, a summer signing from Lens, headed home following a fine cross by former Manchester United full-back Alex Telles.

Raja pulled a goal back before half-time when Abdullah Madu inadvertently deflected the ball into his own net after trying to intercept a cross.

But a comeback never looked likely.

Sadio Mane played 70 minutes for Al Nassr in Sunday's game.

Al Nassr will now face Iraqi champions Al-Shorta SC in the semi-finals in Abha on Wednesday.
