Fantasy football 2016: Way-too-early top 100 player rankings

It’s never too early for fantasy football rankings! Michael Beller presents his very early top 100 players for the 2016 season.

Fantasy football has turned into a year-round activity, with a very short off-season before we start diving into the fantasy-relevant players in the NFL draft. From there, we can start to glean our first bits of depth-chart information from mini-camp and OTAs. By time June 1 rolls around, most people will have started preliminary draft prep, and before you know it, training camp ushers in the unofficial start of another fantasy season in earnest.

It all begins, however, with our first set of rankings for the season. These won’t be the same on June 1, July 1, Aug. 1 or Sept. 1, but they will serve as our jumping-off point for the 2016 season. While wide receivers took over the league for good in 2015, the overall No. 1 spot still belongs to the best running back in the NFL.
