In a monumental move that will shake up Formula One, Lewis Hamilton is set to leave Mercedes and join Ferrari, according to multiple reports. Sky Sports was first to break the news on Thursday morning.

The seven-time world champion, who boasts the most wins in F1 history with 103, had an exit clause in the two-year contract that he signed with Mercedes last year. Now he is poised to join Ferrari for the 2025 season as a potential replacement for Carlos Sainz. Talks between Ferrari and Sainz have been stalled for awhile, and the Hamilton move now makes it likely that Sainz will be seeking a new team.
