The usual suspects are at the top of the list to win the World Series but Oakland, San Diego, and Cincinnati are emerging as dark horses.

Now that the MLB plans to start their season on July 24th, sports books have updated their odds on which team will win the World Series. The Yankees, Dodgers and Astros are all at the top of the list. But as Sports Illustrated’s gambling analyst Ben Heisler points out, there’s a handful of teams that are emerging as long shots. Heisler lists the Oakland A’s at 16/1, Cincinnati Reds at 22/1, and San Diego Padres at 50/1 as solid dark horse/long shot type bets. Check out the attached video for more of his analysis.
