2024 U.S. Open Tee Times: Scheffler, McIlroy, Schauffele Playing Together

The top three players in the world are paired for Thursday and Friday at Pinehurst No. 2.

PINEHURST, N.C. — The world's top three players will play together for the first two rounds of the U.S. Open.

Scottie Scheffler, the World No. 1 with five wins on the season including last week's Memorial Tournament and the Masters in April, will play with world No. 2 and newly minted PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele and No. 3 Rory McIlroy.

The three will tee off at 1:14 p.m. ET Thursday on the 1st hole at Pinehurst No. 2 and at 7:29 a.m. Friday on the 10th hole.

Tiger Woods got an early/late assignment for his first two rounds, starting at 7:29 a.m. Thursday alongside Will Zalatoris and 2022 U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick. With the length of time it takes Woods to prepare to play due to his various ailments, the early/late split is believed to be most beneficial.

Defending U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark is in a group immediately after the marquee group of Scheffler, McIlroy and Schauffele, playing with 2023 British Open champion Brian Harman and Nick Dunlap.
