If you were thinking this golf season would slowly fade away, Chervò’s AW18 Collections will have you rethinking that notion.

This season, Chervò’s designers turned to two unlikely and diverse sources for inspiration—bikers on the men’s side and Tibetan tribes on the women’s. This inspiration is evident in the color palettes for the two collections. The men’s collection taps into the rugged biker attitude with steely greys, leathery browns, and muted oranges. The women’s collection takes a decidedly different approach with vibrant blues, magentas, and purples. The highly saturated hues pop against a neutral backdrop and bring a colorful vibe to the season.

For 35 years, the Italian sportswear brand has successfully fused technical performance with chic silhouettes. Chervò is known for its luxurious, high-performance fabrics, attention to detail, and on-trend looks. All of the brand’s clothing is designed in Costermano, Italy and made in Europe at many of the same factories as several of the leading labels in the world.

Peter Erlacher, who co-founded Chervò along with brother Manfred, said, “Comfort always remains at the forefront of our minds, using stretch qualities as base fabrics, or as stretch inserts in strategic spots. But at Chervò, we also like to challenge a few traditions with our designs and take golf and leisure fashion in a new direction with our innovation.”

Chervò is another in a long list of European sportswear brands that started on the ski slopes but quickly found a home on the links. While the two sports may seem to be strange bedfellows, both put a premium on comfort, performance, unrestricted movement, and style. Chervò’s crossover from the slopes can best be seen in the layering pieces in its golf collection. For AW18, the range of sweaters, insulated jackets and vests, and mid-layers could easily have been plucked out of the ski shop and placed in the golf shop. All of which easily transition to everyday life, too.

A decade ago, the thought of wearing a puffer vest on the course was laughable, but thanks to improvements in fabric and insulation technology, they have become absolute essentials for cold weather golf. They can be worn over a long-sleeve polo shirt in warmer conditions or layered over a mid-layer or sweater in cooler weather.

In Chervò’s AW18 Collection, men can choose from the color-blocked Epifano Vest, the sporty Episcopo Vest, or the fashionable Eneide Vest with a combination of wide horizontal and square channels. All are padded with a thin layer of Happy Goose insulation, which is 100% down free. The lightweight synthetic flakes pack in the heat with minimal bulk. Additionally, the Epifano and Episcopo are treated with a protective coating that repels water and stains for a layer of protection against light showers.

Women have a plethora of stylish options, too. The Evvai Vest blends sport and fashion as the shiny fabric gives off a sophisticated luster. Also possessing a luxurious sheen is the reversible Evita Peron Vest with a faux fur interior and a functional hood. For those looking to make a bold statement, the Eli Vest is available in multiple tapestry and animal prints and features a wide wraparound neck with faux fur for added warmth.
